Just saw your video in Aug 2024, i first found Zipolite Jan 2024 then back in June and now again Oct 31 2024, its one of the most magical Mexican towns I’ve ever been to after 41 trips to mexico in my life. The town has a magnetic charm and the people who are there made it very memorable. I sure hope it can retain this vibe for ever People come world wide to stay in Zipolite and dont leave for months . Got to ask if you got back since 2018?

As two French women disappeared there 2 months ago do u think is it possible that they fell ? because I looked at many pictures on google and I don't have the impression that we can fall from a height… moreover, after numerous searches, no trace of the two women... except the vegetation is not dense... maybe you know a dense place?

Hi. Just a little correction from an Italian and a Catholic: St. Peter is not a cathedral, but a basilica. A cathedral is the church where there is the "cathedra", the chair/seat of the bishop of the diocese (the portion of territory administered by a bishop), a basilica is a big church, often very ancient and usually a place of pilgrimage because it was built on the tomb of a great saint or the saint is buried in the church. St. Peter is not a cathedral because, even if it keeps the "cathedra Petri" (actually a medieval chair), it is not the seat of the bishop of the Diocese of Rome: that is the church of San Giovanni in Laterano, and when the Pope acts as bishop of Rome (and not the chief of the Catholic Church), he usually hold celebrations in that church. So the real cathedral of Rome is San Giovanni in Laterano, while Saint Peter is a basilica (practically it is THE basilica, the one all the other basilicas took from) because it was built where Saint Peter's tomb is and it was a destination of pilgrimage since the beginnings of the Christianity. Some cathedrals can be basilicas too: San Giovanni in Laterano is also one of the four major basilicas of Rome (the others being obviously Saint Peter, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo fuori le Mura). There is another word that indicates a big church, and it is "duomo": it usually is the main church of a city, the one dedicated to the saint patron of the city, especially if it is a big church, but if the city is not the seat of the bishop, the duomo is not a cathedral. In Rome there isn't a duomo (maybe because there are already a lot of basilicas?) And then there is Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence that is the cathedral (seat of the bishop of the diocese of Florence) and the Duomo (the main church of Florence) and also a basilica (minor basilica: only the four of Rome are major basilicas, because they were the first in the history of Church).

A note worth mentioning. "Ahuehuete" comes from the Nahuatl language, not from Zapotec. Although opinions vary, It's said it means something like "the old one by the river".
